STONEBRIDGE WATCHES SAYS...The Longines Admiral collection has long been celebrated for combining elegant styling with the dependable engineering for which the Swiss manufacturer became renowned. This particular example, dating to circa 1973, perfectly captures the clean, understated aesthetic that defined the era, featuring a striking silver sunburst dial housed within a distinctive angular stainless steel case.
Measuring approximately 35mm excluding the crown, the watch offers excellent wrist presence while retaining the refined proportions expected of a classic vintage Longines. The silver dial remains exceptionally well preserved and is complemented by applied baton hour markers, centre seconds and the original Longines branding. The sharp case design, with its brushed finish and faceted lugs, provides a subtle nod to the emerging integrated styling trends of the early 1970s.
Powering the watch is the hand-wound Longines Calibre 6952 mechanical movement, a reliable Swiss movement that contributes to the slim profile and satisfying daily interaction that only a traditional manually wound watch can provide.
Presented in excellent condition, the watch is fitted with a new black leather strap and is supplied with a Longines signed buckle. Also included is a Longines travel case, making this an attractive and complete vintage package for both collectors and enthusiasts alike.
With its timeless design, desirable 35mm case size and beautifully preserved dial, this Longines Admiral HF represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a genuine piece of 1970s Swiss watchmaking from one of the industry's most respected names..
