IWC

Founded in 1868 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, IWC (International Watch Company) was established by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones. His vision was unusual for the time: to combine Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship with modern American industrial manufacturing techniques. This engineering-led approach became a defining characteristic of the brand and helped establish IWC as one of Switzerland’s most respected watch manufacturers

Over more than 150 years, IWC has become renowned for producing robust, highly functional timepieces, particularly its Pilot’s Watches, Portugieser, Ingenieur and Portofino collections. The company has earned a reputation for technical innovation, pioneering the use of materials such as titanium and ceramic, while maintaining a strong focus on precision engineering and timeless design. Today, IWC remains based in Schaffhausen and is regarded as one of the leading names in luxury Swiss watchmaking.
