STONEBRIDGE WATCHES SAYS...
The Omega reference 2639-2 is a vintage timepiece from the late 1940s to early 1950s, celebrated for its classic design and reliable mechanics. Equipped with Omega's manual-winding calibers, initially the 265 and later the 266, both part of the esteemed 30mm movement family known for durability and precision.
Whilst measuring a conservative 35mm, the watch commands a greater wrist presence than the size suggests. Certainly making this a timepiece suitable for most wrists.
When you consider this watch is from circa 1952 it is in beautiful condition, with the case graded as near mint. It has received a working service and is running superbly with a daily accuracy of around 30 seconds. Very acceptable for a watch of this age.
The dial is the centrepiece of course with its beautiful beige (champagne) colour dial and classic 3, 9, 12 configuration. We feel at Stonebridge the watch sells itself and if starting your journey with a vintage or for a seasoned collector it will not disappoint.
